Well, the best laid plans of mice and men as they say. My wife and I had the most perfect Memorial weekend planned for the family. We would start by going on a picnic in the park. Fried chicken, cole slaw, mashed potatos and baked beans were on the menu. After our picnic we would all go swimming at our local parks and recreation swimming pool and catch some rays and relax in the sun. Next we would go bike riding together and in the evening we were going to ride the local river clipper ship up and down the river as we watched Memorial Day fireworks going off. As I said, it sounded like a perfect plan; but then mother nature struck and with a vengence. The skies opened up and it rained cats and dogs all day long. Of course that meant no picnic, no swimming, no bike riding and no ride on the river clipper.
